How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Company

Our client is a fast-growing technology and infrastructure business delivering complex, large-scale transformation programmes across the UK. Following continued investment and expansion, the business is embarking on a major multi-million-pound programme and is seeking to appoint a commercially focused Finance Business Partner to support Project Directors and senior operational stakeholders throughout the transformation lifecycle. This is a highly visible role within a business undergoing significant change, where finance plays a central role in supporting programme delivery, commercial decision making, and financial control across a complex portfolio of projects.

    The Role

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will act as a key finance lead supporting Project Directors and transformation leaders across a major strategic programme. The role will focus heavily on project accounting, programme performance, financial analysis, and commercial business partnering, ensuring stakeholders have clear financial visibility across multiple workstreams and delivery activities.

Working closely with operational and project teams, you will provide robust financial support across budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and performance reporting while helping drive accountability and commercial discipline throughout the programme lifecycle. You will support senior decision making through detailed financial analysis, modelling, and insight, identifying risks, challenging assumptions, and helping shape delivery plans across the wider transformation agenda.

A key aspect of the role will involve developing and maintaining medium and long-term financial models to support strategic planning, investment decisions, and programme delivery. You will produce detailed cost models, scenario analysis, and forecasting models that assess the financial impact of different delivery options, resource assumptions, timelines, and commercial outcomes. These models will support business cases, funding requirements, budget planning, and long-term programme affordability while providing senior stakeholders with clear financial visibility across the lifecycle of the transformation programme.

You will also support commercial and procurement activity across the programme, including involvement in RFP processes, supplier evaluation, and contract management. Working closely with project and procurement stakeholders, you will assess commercial proposals, support the financial evaluation of suppliers, monitor contractual performance, and help ensure appropriate financial governance and cost control is maintained across key third-party agreements.

    The Candidate

ACA / ACCA / ACMA qualified, you will bring strong project accounting and business partnering experience gained within a complex, project-led environment. You will have a proven ability to support senior operational stakeholders and Project Directors across large-scale transformation or change programmes, providing both support and challenge in equal measure.

You will possess strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret complex financial information and translate it into clear, commercially meaningful insight. Previous experience supporting infrastructure, technology, SaaS, digital transformation, or large-scale change programmes would be highly advantageous.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis capability alongside advanced financial modelling skills, including the development of medium and long-term planning models, scenario analysis, and investment appraisal. You will possess excellent stakeholder management skills and the confidence to influence decision making at senior level. Exposure to RFP processes, supplier negotiations, and contract management would also be highly beneficial.

This represents an excellent opportunity to join a business at a pivotal stage of growth and transformation where finance is playing a critical role in supporting delivery across a major strategic programme.
