How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Van Mobile Engineer

    London & Home Counties | Up to £45,000 + Company Van + Package

    Alice Rose is currently recruiting for a Van Mobile Engineer to join a leading FM service provider, covering a mixed portfolio of commercial and high-end residential properties across London and the Home Counties.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a multi-skilled engineer looking to join a well-established organisation with a strong reputation within the facilities management sector. The successful candidate will carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across a variety of electrical, mechanical, and building services systems while benefiting from ongoing training, overtime opportunities, and clear career progression.

    Working Hours

    * Monday to Friday

    * 08:00 – 17:00

    * 1 in 12 Call-Out Rota

    Key Responsibilities

    * Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance across commercial and residential properties

    * Electrical maintenance including lighting, fault finding, ballast changes, emergency lighting, and control panels

    * Monitor and operate BMS systems

    * Maintenance of pumps, motors, AHUs, and FCUs

    * Carry out minor plumbing repairs and general building fabric works

    * Diagnose and rectify faults across building services systems

    * Complete service reports, logbooks, and compliance documentation

    * Escort and supervise specialist subcontractors

    * Liaise directly with clients and site teams

    * Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures

    Requirements

    * Electrically or Mechanically Qualified (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 & 3 advantageous)

    * 18th Edition advantageous

    * Proven experience within commercial building maintenance

    * Multi-skilled across electrical and mechanical building services

    * Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability

    * Client-facing with excellent communication skills

    * Full UK Driving Licence

    * Able to provide copies of trade qualifications
