How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    IT Desktop Support Analyst - Trading & Financial Markets

    šŸ“London (5 days Onsite)

    Contract till the end of the year plus extension

    £300 a day Inside IR35

    Randstad Digital have partnered up with a leading global financial institution to find an exceptional IT Support Analyst to join their high-performing London tech team. This is a fast-paced, high-touch role where you will be directly responsible for supporting the core infrastructure that powers daily trading operations. Sitting physically on the trade floor, you will provide rapid-response technical assistance to front-office teams, market analysts, and senior business executives.

    This position offers a perfect balance between modern cloud desktop administration and hands-on hardware engineering in a prestigious, reward-driven environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Provide fast, friendly IT support face-to-face on the trading floor and for remote workers.
    Build, set up, and fix laptops, desktops, and specialized trader equipment.
    Handle account setups, software licenses, and access permissions for staff joining or leaving the company.
    Manage user accounts and security groups using modern Microsoft cloud tools.
    Fix internet, network, and secure connection (VPN) problems.
    Keep track of IT issues and work with other tech teams to solve bigger problem
    Essential Skills

    Trading Floor Experience: Background in a fast-paced investment bank or trading environment.
    VIP Savvy: Able to stay calm and communicate clearly under pressure with demanding floor traders and executives.
    Solid administration skills across Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Windows 11.
    Hands-on experience deploying and patching devices using Intune or SCCM.
    Familiarity with supporting users in Citrix environments.
    Experience troubleshooting trading tools like Bloomberg, Reuters, or ION.
    Simple PowerShell skills to automate daily tasks.
    A good understanding of ITIL workflows and ticketing systems.
