How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Duration: Ongoing Contract

Day Rate: Up to £350 p/d PAYE + 36 days annual leave // Up to £475.72 p/d Umbrella

Play Your Part in Building the Future of UK Energy

Hinkley Point C is one of the largest and most complex infrastructure projects in Europe - a multi-billion-pound nuclear new build that will power six million homes for decades to come.

We are recruiting experienced NDT Welding Inspectors / Field Engineers to join the Quality Surveillance team on site in Somerset.

If you have worked on large-scale infrastructure - Water & Wastewater, Energy from Waste, Biomass, Pharmaceutical, Petrochemical, Chemical, Oil & Gas, Nuclear or major Industrial Construction - and you understand welding from a metallurgy, NDT and standards perspective, this is your opportunity to apply that expertise on a truly safety-critical project.

    This is not just inspection.

This is engineering assurance in a nuclear safety environment.

    The Opportunity

You'll be responsible for carrying out site quality surveillance activities across mechanical installation and fabrication scopes including:

    Pipework
    Pressure systems
    Static & rotating equipment
    Structural and mechanical assemblies

Working within the Site Quality Surveillance Team, you'll ensure construction activities are completed in accordance with approved quality requirements, inspection plans and applicable industry codes.

    Key Responsibilities

Conduct welding and NDT quality surveillance activities on site
Review contractor compliance against approved Quality Control Plans and ITPs
Identify non-conformances and support NCR generation
Ensure inspection records are completed before works are covered up
Monitor welding, fabrication and installation activities against required standards
Support proactive quality issue identification and mitigation
Liaise with construction, QA/QC and contractor teams across site
Ensure formal quality processes are followed at all times

    About You

    Essential Requirements

CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector certification minimum
    PCN-certified NDT qualification(s)
Experience in welding inspection on large construction projects
Background in nuclear, power, petrochemical, oil & gas or other regulated industries

    Strong understanding of:

    RCC-M
    ASME
    BS EN standards

    Experience with:

    ITPs
    NCRs
    QA/QC documentation
    Quality surveillance activities

    Highly Desirable

    CSWIP 3.2
    Multiple PCN certifications
    Nuclear new build experience
    Pressure systems experience
HPC or major infrastructure project experience
    Knowledge of safety-critical fabrication environments

    What's In It For You

Opportunity to contribute to the UK's most complex and high-profile clean energy project.
Work alongside some of the most skilled professionals in the industry.
Gain exposure to cutting-edge construction and engineering methods.
Develop your career within one of the world's most demanding project environments.
Competitive day rate and long-term contract potential.

If you've built refineries, energy-from-waste plants, pharmaceutical clean facilities, water treatment works or petrochemical units - this is the next level of technical challenge.
