How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Manufacturing Cell Leader

    Location: North East

    Job Description:

    The Manufacturing Cell Leader will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities within a designated production cell, ensuring targets are achieved across safety, quality, productivity, and delivery.

    Working on a permanent day shift pattern, you will lead, coach, and develop a team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment whilst supporting continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining high operational standards.

    The role requires a proactive and hands-on leader with excellent communication skills and the ability to drive performance whilst fostering a positive team culture.

    Key responsibilities include:

    * Leading and motivating the production team to achieve daily operational targets

    * Supporting and developing team members through coaching, mentoring, and training

    * Ensuring SOPs, work instructions, and training matrices are maintained and followed

    * Overseeing quality control processes including incoming goods inspection, in-process testing, and final product release

    * Maintaining accurate production documentation and records

    * Promoting a strong culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement

    * Supporting lean manufacturing initiatives and operational efficiency improvements

    * Assisting with equipment troubleshooting and escalating maintenance issues where required

    * Ensuring housekeeping and GMP standards are maintained at all times

    * Working collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth operational performance

    Skills Required:

    * Previous experience within a manufacturing or process-led environment

    * Strong leadership and people management skills

    * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    * Good understanding of manufacturing processes and quality standards

    * Ability to prioritise workloads and solve problems effectively

    * Experience working within a fast-paced operational environment

    * Chemical manufacturing background desirable

    * Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles including 5S, TPM, and continuous improvement methodologies would be advantageous

    * Good IT skills including Microsoft Office applications
