How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are excited to be recruiting 3 new Early Support Key Workers to join our established and passionate Early Support Team (East Surrey). We have 2 full time positions available at £33,552 per annum working 36 hours per week and 1 part time position working 18 hours per week for £16,776 pr annum.

    The Early Support Service provides targeted, family‑centred support within the Continuum Model of Support Framework, improving outcomes for young children and their families. Life can be extremely challenging for families raising a child with complex needs or a disability, and Early Support Key Workers play a vital role in making a meaningful and lasting difference.

    Our team works holistically with families of children aged 0-5 years who have multiple, complex health needs and/or disabilities, ensuring the right support is in place at the right time.

    About the Role

    You will join the Early Support Team (East) and hold a caseload of families living in Spelthorne, Elmbridge, Mole Valley, Epsom & Ewell, Reigate & Banstead and Tandridge

    As an Early Support Key Worker, you will:

    Hold a caseload of families with children aged 0-5 who have complex needs or disabilities
    Work in partnership with parents/carers and professionals across health, education, family services, and the voluntary sector
    Play a key role in co‑producing, delivering and reviewing Family Support Plans, ensuring the child remains at the centre of all decision‑making
    Liaise closely with the Early Support Coordinator to ensure personalised, effective supportYou will also contribute to the delivery of the Early Support Service's Graduated Offer, which may include supporting or coordinating community‑based groups such as Play and Stay sessions for children with additional needs and their families.

    Key Responsibilities

    Managing a caseload using the Early Help Module (EHM), including assessments, Team Around the Family (TAF) meetings and family‑centred support plans
    Providing targeted support to families referred via Surrey C‑SPA who meet Early Support criteria
    Coordinating multi‑agency support across health, education and the voluntary sector
    Supporting families to understand complex medical information and care pathways
    Supporting children's access to appropriate early years and school provision (mainstream and specialist)
    Contributing to the development and delivery of additional needs group support in local communities
    Providing advice and signposting to families attending groups
    Representing the service at local networking forums
    Attending multi‑disciplinary meetings, including DCDT and CDT, alongside health and education colleagues Your Application

    Experience of working with children with complex additional needs and /or disabilities and their families
    The ability to build strong, effective relationships with parents/carers and professionals
