Proudly established for over a century, our client is recognised as a leading organisation within their industry. They are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to ensure that their workforce is paid in a timely and accurate manner whilst adhering to PAYE and foreign tax legislation.
Based in Fareham, paying up to £35,000 with an extensive list of enhanced company benefits, this is absolutely not an opportunity to be missed.
What you’ll do:
Managing end-to-end payroll administration using data from multiple systems through manual entry and file uploads
Supporting payroll operations for internationally mobile employees, including tax tracking and compliance activities
Reviewing payroll data from various sources to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and relevant legislation
Ensuring payroll submissions are completed within strict deadlines across multiple jurisdictions and time zones
Processing payroll changes including new starters, leavers, salary amendments, benefits, deductions, pensions, and statutory payments
Assisting with international payroll tax calculations where required
Maintaining the accuracy and integrity of payroll data across integrated systems
Adapting payroll processes in line with legislative and operational changes
Responding to payroll queries and providing detailed support to employees and stakeholders
Reconciling payroll control accounts and intercompany cost allocations
Providing administrative support to payroll and finance teams as required
Acting as a point of escalation and supporting management responsibilities when needed
The ideal candidate:
Proven payroll processing experience including exposure to large and complex international payrolls
Payroll qualification (CIPP or equivalent) or currently working towards certification preferred
Knowledge of international tax tracking advantageous
Strong ability to manage and process high volumes of data accurately and efficiently
Experience manipulating, importing, and reconciling payroll and financial data, including foreign currency transactions
Competent user of Microsoft Office and payroll systems, with strong data analysis and organisation skills
Proven ability to build effective working relationships across departments and international teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organisational, prioritisation, and time management skills with the ability to adapt to changing deadlines
