How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    CNC Turner Setter Operator - Late Shift

    Aerospace Manufacturing | Hemel Hempstead

    Permanent | Full Time | Start: ASAP

    Four Day Week Monday - Thursday

    Role Overview - CNC Turner / CNC Machinist / CNC Setter Operator

    Recruiter: Response Personnel, recruiting on behalf of Our Client a CNC Turner Setter Operator

    Location: Hemel Hempstead, HP2 4SB

    Salary: £17.00 - £22.50 per hour (dependent on experience)

    Shift Pattern: Monday - Thursday, 4:00pm - 2:30am (4-day week)

    Overtime: Available at enhanced rate

    Job Type: Permanent

Our Client is a highly trusted brand within the aerospace industry, manufacturing precision gear, splined, and threaded components for some of the world's most respected aerospace companies.     You will be joining a great team, working within a clean and organised environment, producing high-precision parts and components. The nature of the work is small to medium batch with medium to high complexity.

    Key Responsibilities

    CNC Setting and operating CNC Turning machines (Fanuc controls) to tight aerospace tolerances
    Work with premium materials including Stainless Steel, Titanium, Inconel, Aluminium, and Nylon
    Interpret technical drawings and work to precise specifications
    Record job timings accurately in the ERP system
    Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organisation in your workspace (6S)
    Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

    What We're Looking For

    Proven experience in CNC Turning, ideally within aerospace or other high-precision sectors
    Skilled in setting and operating CNC machines with Fanuc controls
    Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately
    Experience working to tight tolerances on complex components
    Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team on a late shift
