How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Windsor Forest Colleges group is looking for a Curriculum Lead in Maths to join our Strode’s College team starting in August 2026 on a permanent, full-time basis.

    Curriculum Lead in Maths

    The Curriculum Lead in Maths role is a full-time role involving working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday at Strode’s College. This role pays on the Academic Teacher’s pay scale (T01 up to T11) and receives a Management Allowance (M1 to M3) resulting in a salary range of T01 + M1 £34,412 up to T11 + M3 £49,578 depending on qualifications and years of teaching experience.

    The Curriculum Lead in Maths is a combined teaching and leadership role responsible for managing the daily delivery of provision for Maths learners across at least three courses, one of which will have a significant student cohort, including GCSE, A Level, and A Level Further Mathematics. Working closely with the Assistant Principal and Head of Department, the post-holder will play a key role in raising the quality of the student learning experience, improving engagement and satisfaction, and ensuring high-quality outcomes through the efficient and economical use of college resources. Beyond classroom delivery, responsibilities include leading departmental quality assurance, managing the induction and development of new staff, and driving the sharing of best practice in Teaching, Learning, and Assessment.

    To be considered, candidates must hold a Level 5 teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards one), a minimum Level 3 subject qualification, and Level 2 proficiency in English and mathematics. The role requires significant teaching experience within a college environment, backed by a strong track record of designing and delivering imaginative, innovative, and high-impact learning. Additionally, successful applicants must demonstrate experience providing pastoral support to students aged 16–18, strong administrative capabilities, and a firm commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and promoting student welfare.
