How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Drainage Operations Manager
    Location: London
    Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + Company Vehicle + Bonus
    Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time

Are you an experienced Drainage Operations Manager looking for the opportunity to build and grow a division rather than simply maintain one?

We are recruiting on behalf of a growing London-based property services business looking for a hands-on and commercially minded Operations Manager to lead their drainage division through an exciting period of expansion.

This is a key leadership role for someone who takes pride in high standards, enjoys building strong teams and wants to make a genuine impact within a respected family-run business.

    The Role
Managing the daily operation of the drainage division
Leading and developing drainage engineers and coordinators
Improving workflows, processes and operational performance
Overseeing reactive drainage works, CCTV surveys, repairs and excavations
Reviewing and approving quotations produced by engineers
Supporting recruitment, onboarding and team growth
Maintaining high standards across health & safety, reporting and client communication
Helping implement an out-of-hours and on-call service
Working closely with senior management to improve efficiency, profitability and customer service
This is a role for someone who can lead from the front, hold standards and build a positive culture where engineers take pride in their work.

    About You
We are keen to speak with experienced drainage professionals who have previously managed operational teams within the drainage sector.

You will ideally have experience with:
Managing drainage engineers or field-based operational teams
Reactive and planned drainage maintenance, CCTV surveys, jetting, excavations and drainage repairs
Scheduling, workflow management and operational planning
    Leading teams in fast-paced environments
    Client communication and commercial awareness
Driving operational improvements and team growth
    What’s on Offer?
Salary between £55,000 - £65,000 depending on experience
    KPI-based bonus structure
    Company vehicle and fuel card
    Overtime opportunities
    Long-term progression opportunities
Opportunity to build and develop your own team
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Drainage Operations Manager who wants more ownership, more influence and the opportunity to build something long term.
