Attendance Administrator

Location: Wakefield
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full‑time, 5 days per week - Term Time Only
Duration: Ongoing (MAT cover)
Role Overview
A well‑established Multi‑Academy Trust in Wakefield is seeking an experienced Attendance Administrator to support the smooth running of attendance processes across the school. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills, excellent attention to detail, and previous experience working within a school environment.
Key Responsibilities

Daily attendance processing - Accurately record and update pupil attendance on the school MIS.
First‑day calling - Contact parents/carers regarding pupil absences and log outcomes.
Data accuracy - Maintain high‑quality attendance records and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
Reporting - Produce attendance reports for senior leaders, pastoral teams, and external agencies.
Administrative support - Assist the wider attendance and pastoral team with general admin duties.What We're Looking For

Previous experience as an Attendance Administrator or in a similar school‑based admin role.
Confident using MIS systems such as SIMS, Arbor, or Bromcom.
Strong communication skills when liaising with parents, staff, and external partners.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy workload.
