Candidates must have demonstrable experience, in a lead capacity, of static equipment across pressure vessels, columns, towers, reactors and internals, including high-alloy, high-pressure / heavy-wall equipment, heat exchangers, large-bore / high-alloy process & utility piping, storage tanks / vessels and cryogenic cold boxes, with working awareness of equipment used in downstream refining / chemicals e.g. hydro-processing, sour gas treatment, ethylene cracking, utilities / offsites and large scale modular execution strategies.
Key responsibilities include:
Mechanical engineering leadership and risk-informed decision support
Steering contractor value improvement and capital efficiency
Recommending design alternative studies
Assessing and qualifying new technology / equipment with shareholder support
Owning discipline engineering standards and contributing to philosophies / procedures / specifications
Supporting FEED / EPC scope and bid evaluations
Participating in JV reviews and action closure
Aligning engineering / procurement needs across teams
Developing and executing engineering surveillance and equipment criticality
Prioritising critical work and securing review support
Progressing qualification as a JV Risk Screener.This role is Inside IR35. The rates advertised are PAYE. The successful candidate could work on an Umbrella basis if preferred
