Working closely with operational teams, clients, and subcontractors, you will be responsible for managing commercial performance throughout the project lifecycle while ensuring profitability, compliance, and strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the commercial aspects of highways and civil engineering projects from pre-construction through to final account
* Prepare, submit, and negotiate interim valuations and final accounts
* Monitor project costs, variations, forecasts, and cash flow
* Procure and manage subcontractor packages and payments
* Support project teams with commercial advice and contractual matters
* Identify and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities
* Ensure compliance with NEC contracts and company procedures
* Produce accurate monthly CVRs and commercial reports
* Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and supply chain partners to maintain strong working relationships
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within highways and civil engineering projects
* Strong understanding of NEC contracts
* Experience working on highways maintenance, infrastructure, road improvement, or associated civils schemes
* Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (preferred)
