An established engineering company in the water sector is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join its Electrical Engineering team. This is a permanent role based in Birmingham with a fixed hybrid schedule.
Role Purpose:
Design, specify, and requisition electrical equipment in accordance with industry, client, and company standards for water and wastewater projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop electrical designs in line with British Standards, client specifications, and company standards.
Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and requisitions for equipment, materials, and services.
Monitor and coordinate sub-contractors for control systems, panels, and specialist electrical equipment.
Conduct inspections, ex-works testing, and, if required, site commissioning and testing.
Supervise CAD operators and junior electrical engineers where required.
Ensure compliance with company procedures and quality assurance systems.
Requirements:
Proven experience in electrical engineering within water/wastewater projects.
Strong technical knowledge of LV systems, MCCs, control panels, and related electrical equipment.
Experience preparing specifications, technical documentation, and coordinating sub-contractors.
Contractor or design & build project experience desirable.
