How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    I’m currently working with a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy looking to appoint an Associate Director across Project Management or Building Surveying to support the continued expansion of their Oxford & Cambridge team.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Senior professional ready to step into an Associate Director position within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment where your voice, ideas, and leadership genuinely matter. You will work with large financial institutions, public sector organisations and the Ministry of Justice.

    The role
    You’ll take ownership across the full project lifecycle, managing key client relationships, overseeing project delivery, and supporting the strategic growth of the business across the region. Alongside delivering exceptional work, you’ll mentor junior team members and help strengthen an already established client base through your network and commercial awareness.

    Key Responsibilities
    Managing projects from inception through to completion
    Building and maintaining strong client relationships
    Managing project governance, budgets, risk, and change control
    Monitoring programme, financial, technical, and KPI performance
    Leading, mentoring, and developing teams
    Supporting business growth across Oxford & Cambridge
    Delivering projects in line with safety, integrity, collaboration, and excellence values
    Successful Project Manager or Building Surveyor
    MRICS or APM Chartered status
    Strong technical and project delivery experience
    Commercially aware with business development capability
    Experience managing and mentoring teams
    Strong understanding of Health & Safety and statutory compliance
    An ambitious individual looking to step into a leadership role
