The Opportunity
A leading building services engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join its London team.
The business delivers technically excellent, low energy and sustainable building services solutions across a diverse portfolio, including education, healthcare, commercial, laboratory, residential and heritage projects.
This is a key role within the team, offering the opportunity to take ownership of projects, mentor junior engineers, and play an active role in shaping design strategies while contributing to high-quality, sustainable outcomes.

Responsibilities
Lead the design and delivery of electrical building services projects from concept through to completion, ensuring technical excellence and compliance
Take ownership of project deliverables, including power, lighting, communications, life safety and low energy systems
Manage and coordinate design information, specifications, reports and technical documentation
Act as a key point of contact for clients, attending and leading design team meetings to ensure successful project outcomes
Undertake site visits, inspections and surveys, providing technical oversight and resolving on-site challenges
Mentor and support junior engineers, contributing to their technical development and career progression
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, driving best practice in sustainability, innovation and design quality
Contribute to project planning, resource allocation and commercial awareness
Ideal Requirements
A degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a closely related discipline
Ideally 6+ years of experience within electrical building services design or consultancy
Proven experience leading or managing projects and engaging directly with clients
Strong technical expertise across a range of building services systems
Experience with Revit, BIM workflows or similar design software
Working toward or achieved Chartered Engineer (CEng) status (preferred)
Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills
A strong commitment to sustainable design and delivering high-quality solutions
