How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Oversee pre-commissioning and commissioning of mechanical plant systems including rotating equipment, piping systems, utilities, valves, pumps, compressors, HVAC, and associated balance of plant systems.

Ensure commissioning activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with project specifications and quality requirements.

Review and approve RAMS, commissioning documentation, and test packs.

Coordinate system walkdowns, punch listing, and system handovers.

Interface with construction, electrical, C&I, process, and operations teams to ensure integrated commissioning delivery.

Attend daily coordination meetings and provide commissioning progress updates.

Support troubleshooting, fault finding, and resolution of technical issues during commissioning phases.

Ensure compliance with site HSE procedures, permit-to-work systems, and commissioning safety rules.

Monitor commissioning progress against programme milestones and report any risks or delays.

Support client witnessing, performance testing, and final acceptance activities.

Proven experience as a Mechanical Commissioning Lead or Senior Mechanical Commissioning Engineer on large industrial or energy projects.

Strong background within power generation, Energy from Waste, CHP, CCGT, petrochemical, process plant, or similar heavy industrial environments.

Experience working on new-build energy assets through commissioning and startup phases.

Strong understanding of mechanical systems, commissioning methodologies, and handover processes.

Ability to manage multiple stakeholders within a fast-paced project environment.

    Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Strong HSE awareness and commitment to safe systems of work.

CSCS / CCNSG / SMSTS or equivalent site safety certification preferred
