How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Account Manager

    Outskirts of Colchester

    £30,000 + salary review upon successful completion of probation

    Due to continued growth, our client — a well-established and highly respected business within the construction and engineering sector — is looking to recruit an Account Manager to join their supportive and collaborative team.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong customer service and relationship management experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and building long-term client partnerships.

    The Role

    As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring a high level of service is delivered at all times. You will act as a key point of contact for customers, contractors, and external stakeholders, helping to coordinate projects, resolve queries, and maintain accurate records and reporting.

    The position would suit someone who is highly organised, proactive, and confident managing multiple priorities while maintaining excellent attention to detail.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Managing day-to-day client relationships and providing exceptional customer service

    * Responding to client enquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner

    * Coordinating and tracking ongoing projects and works

    * Maintaining accurate records, reports, and documentation

    * Liaising with contractors, suppliers, and external stakeholders

    * Reviewing documentation, quotations, invoices, and compliance-related information

    * Producing client reports and updates

    * Supporting the wider team with administrative and operational tasks

    * Attending meetings and training sessions when required

    What We’re Looking For

    * Previous experience within an Account Management, Customer Service, or Coordination role

    * Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    * Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively

    * High attention to detail

    * Confident using Microsoft Office packages including Excel and Outlook

    * A proactive and positive approach to work

    * Experience within construction, engineering, facilities, property, or technical sectors would be advantageous
