How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Join a leading international contractor with a proven track record of delivering large-scale, technically complex projects across Europe. Due to continued growth within their data centre division, they are now seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a flagship data centre project in Frankfurt.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of one of the fastest-growing sectors in construction, working alongside a highly skilled and collaborative team delivering cutting-edge mission-critical projects.

As an M&E Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial and contractual management of the project from pre-construction through to final account. Working closely with project managers, engineers, site teams, and clients, you will ensure commercial performance is maintained while supporting the successful delivery of a high-profile data centre development.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Preparing cost plans, budgets, and detailed estimates across all project phases

    * Managing procurement activities, tender processes, and subcontractor packages

    * Monitoring project costs and maintaining strict cost control measures

    * Assessing valuations, variations, and agreeing final accounts

    * Providing commercial guidance and support to project delivery teams

    * Maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and key stakeholders

    * Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and relevant regulations

    * Assisting with forecasting, reporting, and identifying commercial risks

    Requirements:

    * Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline

    * Minimum of 4 years’ post-graduate experience, ideally with a main contractor

    * Previous experience within data centre, pharmaceutical, or other mission-critical environments would be advantageous

    * Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial management principles

    * Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
