At A Wilderness Way, we create safe, therapeutic spaces where children can rebuild trust and move forward with confidence. We’re looking for an experienced Peripatetic Registered Manager to bring strong, values-led leadership across multiple homes.
About the role
Working closely with the Regional Director, you will step into services across the region to provide direction, consistency and high-quality leadership. You’ll be responsible for delivering high standards of care, driving performance and ensuring each home operates in line with its Statement of Purpose.
You will:
Lead, manage and support services to ensure children are safe and thriving
Oversee admissions, placements and outcomes
Drive high standards of care planning and delivery
Inspire and develop Assistant Managers and teams
Build strong partnerships with local authorities and external agencies
Ensure compliance with Children’s Home Regulations, Quality Standards and SCCIF
Manage staffing, rotas and budgets effectively
Promote a culture where children’s voices are heard
About you
You’re a confident, resilient leader who thrives in dynamic environments and is committed to achieving the best outcomes for children.
Essential:
Registered Manager or senior leadership experience in children’s residential care
Strong knowledge of regulations, Quality Standards and SCCIF
Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) and working towards Level 5
Experience supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs
Proven ability to lead and develop teams
Full UK driving licence
