The Role - SEMH Learning Support Assistant
Seeking a resilient and proactive SEMH Learning Support Assistant to support pupils aged 11-16 within a PRU setting. You will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to provide 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils manage behaviour, regulate emotions and engage with learning. The role involves implementing behaviour strategies, using de-escalation techniques, supporting emotional wellbeing and contributing to a structured and supportive learning environment.

This pupil referral unit is located in the London Borough of Southwark and is within walking distance of a nearby London Underground station. The provision supports pupils who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream education, many with SEMH needs and behavioural barriers to learning.
