Key Responsibilities for the Mechanical Design Engineer based in Poole, Dorset:

Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies
Produce detailed 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks
Work closely with teams on integrated product development
Create and maintain technical documentation
Liaise with suppliers and manufacturing partners regarding production methods and materials
Prototype, test and validate new product designs
Support transition from R&D into manufacturing
Contribute to product improvement and cost-reduction initiativesWhat we're looking for:
What we're looking for in this Mechanical Design Engineer in Poole, Dorset:

Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or similar
Strong experience in mechanical product design
Proficiency in SolidWorks
Understanding of manufacturing processes including sheet metal, CNC machining and fabrication
Ability to produce manufacturing drawings and technical documentation
