How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior Night Shift Manager

    Location: West London

Salary: Up to £50,000 (Dependent on Experience)

Shift Pattern: 40 hours per week (5 over 7 nights)

An established and growing food manufacturing business in West London is seeking a resilient, people-focused Senior Night Shift Manager to take full operational control of their night-time warehouse and dispatch functions.

This is a critical leadership role within a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all products are accurately prepared, segregated under strict temperature controls, and loaded safely for next-day delivery.

    The Role

As Senior Night Shift Manager, you will report directly to the Warehouse Manager and lead a dedicated team of warehouse operatives and drivers. Your core responsibilities will include:

    · Taking full ownership of the night shift operation, overseeing goods-in, picking accuracy, and driver loading functions.

    · Motivating, coaching, and developing your team, including conducting performance reviews and managing probation periods.

    · Maintaining strict compliance with BRC controls, food safety measures, and temperature-controlled product standards.

    · Leading stock investigations and cycle counts, keeping stock levels accurate, and tracking KPIs, to report back to senior operations.

    · Working closely with Purchasing, Customer Service, and Transport teams to resolve daily operational issues smoothly.

    Your Skills & Experience

    · A minimum of 5 years of warehouse management experience, ideally with a strong background in food manufacturing, chilled environments, or food distribution.

    · A solid understanding of BRC controls, food safety compliance, and health & safety procedures.

    · Tech-savvy and proficient with warehouse management systems (experience with SAP is highly desirable).

    · A proactive leader who empowers their team, isn't afraid to make confident decisions under pressure, and is happy to support operatives on the floor when needed
