How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are currently recruiting for a Window Fabricator to join our client’s busy manufacturing team based in Witham on a temp to perm basis.

    This is a hands-on factory role offering the opportunity to learn multiple stages of the window manufacturing process within a supportive and fast-paced environment. Previous manufacturing or window fabrication experience would be advantageous, although training will be provided for the right candidate.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Rotate through various departments involved in the window manufacturing process

    * Work on the hanging line as part of the production team

    * Learn and understand different window furniture options and product ranges

    * Support the stores department with window pack preparation

    * Assist with general factory duties and additional tasks as required

    * Maintain high standards of quality and health & safety

    Working Hours

    * Monday to Thursday: 6:00am – 2:30pm
    (45 minutes total break time at 9:00am and 12:00pm)

    * Friday: 6:00am – 2:00pm
    (same break structure)

    Pay & Benefits

    * Starting salary of £12.71 per hour

    * Pay increases available upon permanent employment and dependent on experience

    * Holiday entitlement starting at 20 days per year, increasing annually up to a maximum of 25 days

    * Eligibility to join the Employee Owned Trust after one year of employment

    * Additional birthday day off after one year of employment

    * Temp-to-perm opportunity with long-term career prospects
