How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    My client, a globally recognised construction consultancy, is seeking an ambitious and driven Building Surveyor to join their thriving London office. This is an exceptional opportunity for a Building Surveyor looking to work on high-profile projects within a dynamic team environment. As a Building Surveyor, you will become a key member of the firm's expanding National Programmes team, supporting a diverse client base across multiple sectors.     The Building Surveyors' role

    Joining the firm's highly regarded National Programmes team, the successful Building Surveyor will support and lead on a wide range of exciting projects across multiple sectors, including commercial, residential, education, sports, nuclear, and retail. This diverse portfolio ensures a varied and rewarding workload.

    The Building Surveyor will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive suite of professional services, including party wall matters, pre-acquisition surveys, defect diagnosis, dilapidations, employer's agent responsibilities, contract administration, and project management. The role offers an ideal balance of technical delivery and client-facing engagement.

    This is a superb opportunity for a Building Surveyor who is eager to expand their industry exposure, work on major national programmes, and grow their career within one of the most respected consultancies in the industry.

    The Building Surveyor

    The successful Building Surveyor will ideally be qualified with MRICS or at least on the APC pathway and eager to complete this process.

    - Degree in Building Surveying is preferred

    - Experience within a similar consultancy environment

    - Able to work independently as well as successfully within a team
