CNC Milling Machinist

Contractor required - This role is Inside IR35

My client has a vacancy within their Manufacturing Department for a CNC Milling Setter/ Operator. We are looking for candidates who have relevant and proven experience. Only suitably qualified contractor's who can hit the ground running with experience of of setting and operating Heidenhain CNC 3/4 axis milling machines within a high precision low volume environment will be considered. This is fine tolerance work

You will be required to work Day's/Lates on a rotating shift pattern.

Shift Pattern:

Days Shift: 07.00 – 16.00 Monday to Thursday, and 07.00 – 12.00 on Fridays.

Lates Shift: Monday 15:00 - 01:00
Tuesday to Thursday 15:00 - 00.30
Friday Off

You will be entitled to two breaks Monday to Thursday, one 10-minute unpaid break and one 20-minute unpaid break.

Role Accountabilities:

Use and control of CNC programs in accordance with relevant procedures.
Ability to read and understand CNC code to the level required for machine set up and operation.
Understand all set up parameters and the effect that they have on the process, for example, datum setting and tool length and wear offsets.
Set up machines with the required work holding and tooling in accordance with relevant procedures.
Editing programmes.
Complete machining operations efficiently in accordance with Job Card instructions to achieve the required output levels.
