How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Our purpose is to bring together people, energy and markets to power and navigate a changing world. In a time of constant change and possibility we need new talent to pursue commercial opportunities, fuelled by world-class insight and expertise. We’re always striving for more innovative digital solutions, sustainable outcomes and closer collaboration across our company and beyond, and you could be part of that too.

    About the job:

This is a role within the Castrol organisation and the successful candidate will become part of the Castrol ring-fence. If you are part of the ring-fence, it is expected that your employment will move with Castrol to new ownership.

We’re looking for a Reward Delivery Advisor to join our team supporting Castrol across the UK and Europe. This role sits within our People & Culture function and offers the opportunity to shape reward programmes with global impact. In this role, you’ll provide expert guidance on reward design and implementation, working across a range of initiatives that support both regional and global priorities. You’ll collaborate closely with partners across the business to understand their needs and develop practical, compliant, and commercially aligned solutions. The position combines hands-on work with project-based activity, offering variety and the opportunity to contribute to both immediate business needs and longer-term strategic initiatives.

Please note that roles based out of SJS or Sunbury will move to Timber Square, Southwark, from Q4 2027.

    What you’ll be doing:

    • Advising on the design and implementation of reward programmes across multiple countries

    • Keeping up to date with market practices and reward trends globally

    • Significant experience in total reward, gained in a corporate or consulting environment

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with confidence working with data

    • Clear and effective communication, with the confidence to influence and challenge when needed

    • Experience working with partners across different functions, regions, or cultures

    • Good understanding of regulatory and legal considerations in reward

    • Comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-moving environment

    • A proactive approach, with a willingness to learn and adapt

    • A team-oriented perspective and an interest in continuous improvement

    Essential skills & experience

    • Commercial awareness and a practical approach to solving business problems

    • Curiosity and a willingness to question existing ways of working

    • Confidence working across global teams and different time zones

    • A growth mindset and commitment to developing your skills
