How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Site Manager - Fire Protection

    Location: London & Surrounding Areas Employment Type: Full‑time Salary: Competitive, based on experience

    About the Role

    We're seeking an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in fire protection to oversee day‑to‑day operations across multiple active sites. You'll ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest compliance standards. This is a hands‑on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.

    Key Responsibilities

    Site supervision - Lead and coordinate fire‑protection installation teams across active projects.

    Health & Safety compliance - Ensure all works comply with UK fire safety regulations, RAMS, and company procedures.

    Quality assurance - Conduct inspections, snagging, and sign‑offs to maintain high installation standards.

    Client liaison - Maintain strong communication with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.

    Scheduling & reporting - Manage daily site records, progress reports, and workforce planning.

    Material & resource management - Ensure materials are ordered, delivered, and used efficiently.

    Team leadership - Motivate and guide installation teams to deliver safe, compliant work.

    Essential Requirements

    Experience in fire protection (e.g., passive fire protection, fire stopping, fire doors, or sprinkler systems)

    SMSTS or SSSTS certification

    CSCS card

    Strong understanding of UK fire safety regulations and construction site management

    Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

    Excellent communication and organisational skills

    Full UK driving licence

    Desirable

    FIRAS, IFC, BM TRADA, or similar third‑party accreditation

    Experience managing multiple sites

    Knowledge of digital reporting tools (e.g., FieldView, Procore)
