How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    ROLE: Key Account Manager
    LOCATION: High Wycombe
    SALARY: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum

    I’m currently working with a well-established manufacturing business who are looking to appoint a Key Account Manager to support the continued growth and development of key customer accounts.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong technical understanding of manufacturing and engineering processes who also enjoys the commercial and customer-facing side of the role.

    The position is not a pure Business Development role the business is looking for someone capable of understanding engineering requirements, interpreting technical drawings/specifications, and acting as the key interface between customers and internal engineering/manufacturing teams.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    Managing and developing key customer accounts within a technical manufacturing environment
    Building long-term relationships with customers through regular meetings and onsite visits
    Acting as the main point of contact for technical and commercial discussions
    Reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing requirements
    Supporting NPI projects and managing programmes through production
    Working closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Operations teams
    Supporting quotations, timelines, delivery expectations, and project updates
    Identifying opportunities for account growth and additional business within existing customers
    Attending customer sites, supplier meetings, and industry events where required
    Providing a high level of customer service and technical support throughout the project lifecycleThe ideal candidate will have:

    Previous experience within Key Account Management, Technical Sales, Product Management, NPI, Programme Management, or a similar customer-facing engineering role
    Strong understanding of manufacturing and engineering environments
    Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
    Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
    Commercial awareness with the ability to manage customer expectations effectively
    A proactive and solutions-focused approach
    Aerospace industry experience highly desirableThis role would suit candidates from backgrounds such as:
