Duties
* Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, inventory control, and order fulfilment.
* Supervise warehouse staff, providing leadership, training, and performance management.
* Manage transportation logistics using systems such as Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Warehouse Management System (WMS).
* Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to optimise supply chain efficiency.
* Utilise ERP systems and AS400 platforms for inventory tracking, reporting, and process optimisation.
* Implement process improvements to enhance productivity, safety, and accuracy within the warehouse.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
* Operate or oversee the operation of forklifts and other warehouse equipment as required.
* Monitor profit & loss statements related to warehouse activities to support financial objectives.
* Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and sales teams to streamline operations.
Skills
* Proven supervising experience within a warehouse or logistics environment.
* Strong knowledge of supply chain management, logistics, and warehouse operations.
* Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, AS400, and transportation management systems.
* Skilled in process improvement methodologies such as continuous improvement initiatives.
* Competent in shipping & receiving procedures and forklift operation.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret profit & loss data for operational decision-making.
