A global aerospace engineering business is looking for a Senior Aerothermal Engineer to join a highly specialist thermal management team working on next-generation aerospace systems.
This is a technically challenging role focused on the design, analysis, and development of advanced thermal management solutions used within demanding aerospace applications. The team is experiencing significant growth, with strong focus on new product introduction and cutting-edge programme development, alongside supporting existing production programmes and in-service improvements.

Senior Aerothermal Engineer
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain thermal-fluid and aerothermal models
Perform sizing calculations
Analyse airflow and oil/fuel flow characteristics
Support new product development programmes from concept through validation
Define modelling approaches and validation strategies
Correlate simulation data with physical testing
Support test definition, instrumentation, and post-test analysis
Drive technical problem-solving across engineering functions
Contribute to continuous improvement of modelling tools and methodologies
Senior Aerothermal Engineer
Essential Experience / Skills / Qualifications
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
Strong background in thermal-fluid analysis and aerothermal engineering
Experience with 1D modelling tools and ANSYS
Understanding of airflow, oil systems, and fuel systems
Aerospace experience is desirable
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
