We're recruiting for an Extrusion Operative to join a well-established manufacturing business supplying packaging solutions into the healthcare sector.
This is a permanent opportunity offering long-term stability within a growing manufacturing environment. The company is looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a reliable attitude, and previous experience operating machinery within a production or manufacturing setting.
What you'll be doing:
· Operating extruder machinery to produce blown film safely and efficiently in line with production specifications
· Setting up and adjusting machine settings to ensure product quality and consistency
· Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments where required to maintain output standards
· Carrying out quality checks to ensure product meets required specifications
· Recording production data accurately and maintaining relevant documentation
Identifying and reporting any machine faults or maintenance requirements to minimise downtime
· Ensuring materials are loaded, handled and used correctly in line with job requirements
· Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area at all times
· Supporting continuous improvement in production efficiency and product quality
· Working collaboratively with Team Leaders and wider production teams
What we're looking for:
· Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
· Experience operating machinery (extrusion experience desirable but not essential)
· Good understanding of health & safety and quality standards
· Strong attention to detail and ability to work to specification
· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
· Reliable, proactive attitude with good teamwork skills
· Own transport due to site location
