TeacherActive is proud to be working with a range of mainstream and SEND schools across Sunderland, who are looking to appoint Teaching Assistants on a temporary day-to-day basis. These schools are passionate about creating inclusive learning environments where every child is supported to reach their full potential.
The schools are looking to take on enthusiastic Teaching Assistants who can provide classroom support across a variety of year groups and abilities. The successful Teaching Assistant will support pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups, with SEN experience being highly beneficial for this role. Strong communication skills and a positive attitude are essential.
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
Experience working with children in a school or educational setting
Experience supporting children with SEND / SEN beneficial
A caring and patient nature
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A ‘can-do’ attitude with the ability to adapt quickly
Strong behaviour management skills
