How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Location: Swansea

    Our client is a well-established Retail & Commercial Contractor delivering projects across the UK with values of up to £15 million. Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager to oversee and maintain health, safety, & high compliance standards of the project.

    The project type is a large distribution warehouse and we are looking for candidates that have this type of experience. This role requires a proactive and organised individual with strong knowledge of construction health & safety legislation, who can support site teams, ensure compliance with regulations, and promote a positive safety culture across the project.

    Key Responsibilities:

    - Overseeing / managing health & safety compliance across the construction site

    - Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with current HSE legislation and company policies

    - Conducting regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments

    - Identifying hazards and implementing appropriate control measures

    - Delivering site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings

    - Supporting site management and subcontractors to maintain safe working practices

    - Investigating incidents, near misses, and accidents and producing detailed reports

    - Monitoring subcontractor compliance with health & safety procedures

    - Maintaining accurate safety documentation and records

    - Liaising with site management, clients, and regulatory bodies when required

    Requirements:

    - Proven experience in a Construction Health & Safety Manager or Site Manager equivalent within construction or fit-out projects

    - NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent (desirable)

    - Valid CSCS Card (required)

    - SMSTS or equivalent training (required)

    - 1st Aid at Work Certificate (required)

    - Strong knowledge of UK construction health & safety legislation and best practice

    - Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
