As a Case Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting people who choose to manage their care through Direct Payments. Working as part of a supportive team, you will help individuals to manage their care packages effectively while promoting choice, control, and independence.
Key Responsibilities
Work collaboratively as part of a team while also using your own initiative to manage individual responsibilities.
Provide clear guidance and support to current and potential Direct Payments users on recruitment and employment matters.
Monitor, support, advise, and assist individuals in managing their Direct Payments packages and associated finances.
Review and assess financial records and related documentation held by Direct Payments recipients, ensuring accurate record-keeping using Microsoft Excel (strong Excel skills are essential).
Carry out home visits and develop positive, effective working relationships with individuals and other key stakeholders.
Promote awareness of Direct Payments and contribute to the ongoing development of the service.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and agency arrangements relevant to Direct Payments.
