How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Quality Engineer

    Location: Shannon, Co. Clare, Ireland
    Salary: Up to €50,000 + Benefits
    Type: Full-Time | Permanent

    Syntech Recruitment are working with a leading precision manufacturing and engineering business to support the hire of a Quality Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation operating within a highly regulated manufacturing environment with a strong focus on quality, continuous improvement and operational excellence.

    This role would suit an experienced Quality Engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting and is confident supporting quality systems, audits, process improvements and production quality activities. Candidates with some experience/exposure to APQP & PPAP’s would be advantageous.

    Quality Engineer

    *

    Maintain and update Quality Management System (QMS) documentation, records and associated systems

    *

    Drive process efficiency improvements and provide feedback on quality-related issues

    *

    Conduct and report on internal audits in line with the annual audit schedule

    *

    Manage and close out non-conformances arising from audit activities

    *

    Analyse manufacturing and business processes to identify improvement opportunities

    *

    Support engineering teams with product and process verification activities for new and existing products

    *

    Manage CAPA systems and lead root cause investigations using established quality tools

    *

    Assist with operation and maintenance of calibration systems

    *

    Coordinate quality-related projects and support production programme quality requirements

    *

    Provide quality support to manufacturing operations and problem-solving activities

    *

    Develop and implement quality controls for both new and existing products

    *

    Support continuous improvement and efficiency projects across the business

    *

    Maintain effective communication and reporting across relevant departments

    Quality Engineer Requirements

    *

    Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a Quality Engineering or similar manufacturing quality role

    *

    Previous experience within a manufacturing environment is essential

    *

    Working knowledge of ISO9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems

    *

    Experience conducting internal audits within manufacturing operations

    *

    Strong investigative and problem-solving skills

    *

    Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability

    *

    Strong interpersonal and communication skills

    *

    Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

    *

    Comfortable working within fast-paced and deadline-driven environments

    *

    Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

    *

    Self-motivated with a proactive and improvement-focused mindset
