How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Manufacturing Engineer \ Havant \ £39,280 – £44,190 \ 6 Month Contract

    Are you a Manufacturing Engineer with experience in precision engineering, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement Do you enjoy solving complex production challenges while driving quality and process efficiency in a fast-paced engineering environment

    Workshop Recruitment is supporting a well-established aerospace engineering business in the search for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their growing team in Havant. This Manufacturing Engineer role will support production and quality improvement activities across the site, helping to optimise manufacturing performance, reduce process variation, and support new product introduction projects.

    The successful Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with production, suppliers, and customers to deliver robust manufacturing processes that meet industry and customer standards within a highly regulated environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Develop and improve manufacturing processes using Lean Manufacturing principles
    Support New Product Introduction activities and process validation
    Investigate production and quality issues using structured problem-solving methods
    Analyse manufacturing data and identify continuous improvement opportunities
    Maintain PFMEA documentation, Control Plans, and standard operating procedures
    Participate in quality, process, and EHS audits across the manufacturing cell
    Support the specification and validation of tooling, gauges, and capital equipment
    Work with suppliers and customers to resolve manufacturing and quality concerns

    Skills & Experience Required

    Degree qualified in Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering
    Previous experience within precision manufacturing or engineering environments
    Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
    Knowledge of APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and root cause analysis tools
    Ability to interpret engineering drawings and geometric tolerances
    Experience using CAD software and advanced Excel functions
    Knowledge of AS9100, ISO14001, or aerospace quality standards beneficial
    Strong communication and cross-functional teamwork skills
