How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Our subcontractor client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing commercial construction business delivering high-quality interior projects across the UK.

Working in partnership with Tier 1 contractors, you will play a key role in managing multiple fit-out and interior construction projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery to the highest standards of quality, cost, and programme. This is a dynamic, hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking full ownership of projects from inception through to completion.

    Key Responsibilities:

Manage multiple concurrent interior fit-out projects ranging from £20,000 to £1,000,000 in value.
Take full ownership of project delivery, including budgets, programmes, and resources.
Act as the primary point of contact for Tier 1 Construction Contractor clients and key stakeholders.
Oversee project lifecycle including planning, procurement, delivery, and handover.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, specifications, and health & safety standards.
Monitor project costs, manage variations, and ensure profitability targets are achieved.
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain programme timelines.
Conduct regular site visits nationwide to review progress, resolve issues, and maintain client relationships.
Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring proactive problem-solving throughout the project lifecycle.
Produce and maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and forecasts.
    What They're Looking For:

Proven experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction.
Commercial construction interior / fit-out experience would be an advantage.
Strong understanding of working with or alongside Tier 1 contractors.
Demonstrable experience managing multiple projects simultaneously across varying values.
Solid commercial and budget management skills.
Strong contractual knowledge (e.g., JCT contracts) and experience managing contract delivery.
A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach with excellent organisational skills.
Willingness and flexibility to travel nationwide for site visits (Full Manual UK Driving Licence required).
A PRINCE2 or similar project management qualification and solid knowledge of the methodology is highly desirable.
    What's in it for You:

Competitive salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum (depending on experience).
Pool car available for travel to sites.
Opportunity to work on varied and fast-paced projects.
Strong pipeline of work with established Tier 1 contractor relationships.
A supportive and growing team environment.
    Why Join Them?
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of diverse projects while working with some of the construction industry's leading contractors, at a time when the company is experiencing strong growth and expanding its project portfolio. If you're driven, commercially aware, and enjoy delivering high-quality interior construction projects, we'd love to hear from you!
