How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Private Client Solicitor (3+ Years PQE)

    Wills, Probate & Estate Planning | Beeston Shenton Solicitors | Staffordshire

    £40000- £50000 DOE

    Looking for a legal career where people genuinely come first?

    Beeston Shenton Solicitors is continuing to grow and is looking to appoint an experienced and client-focused Private Client Solicitor to join its highly regarded Wills, Probate and Estate Planning team.

    This is an opportunity to join a modern, progressive and commercially successful independent law firm that combines high-quality legal work with genuine care for both clients and employees. With an outstanding reputation across Staffordshire and beyond, Beeston Shenton has built its success on trusted relationships, exceptional service and long-term investment in people.

    The firm is now seeking an empathetic and commercially aware solicitor who wants to build long-term client relationships, work collaboratively within a supportive culture and continue developing their career within a growing business.

    More Than Just a Legal Role

    Beeston Shenton is a firm that genuinely invests in people — both clients and employees alike.

    With consecutive profit growth, investment into specialist services, excellent client satisfaction scores and a strong reputation for community engagement, the business continues to grow in a sustainable and people-focused way.

    This is an opportunity to join a respected and ambitious regional firm where you can continue developing professionally while being part of a supportive, collaborative and commercially successful team.

    Why Join Beeston Shenton?

    Beeston Shenton has intentionally positioned itself differently from many traditional legal practices. The business focuses on simplifying legal services, providing transparent advice and delivering a client experience centred around trust, empathy and communication.

    Today, the firm supports more than 1,600 active clients, with over 50% of new instructions generated through repeat business and referrals — a reflection of the relationships and reputation the business has built over more than two decades.

    Employees benefit from:

    * A supportive and approachable leadership team

    * A collaborative “one team” culture

    * High-quality and varied private client work

    * Genuine long-term career development

    * Investment in professional training and progression

    * Strong operational support and modern systems

    * A respected local brand with loyal clients

    * A people-focused environment where your contribution matters

    The firm also places significant emphasis on mentoring, learning and professional development, while encouraging employees to engage in networking and community initiatives across the region.

    The Opportunity

    This role will involve managing a varied and rewarding private client caseload across wills, probate and estate planning.

    You will advise clients with professionalism, empathy and sensitivity, often supporting individuals and families through significant life events and emotionally sensitive situations.

    The caseload is expected to include:

    * Wills and estate planning

    * Probate and estate administration

    * Trusts and inheritance tax planning

    * Lasting Powers of Attorney

    * Estate and succession planning

    * High-net-worth private client matters

    * Court of Protection matters (where appropriate)

    You will also play an active role in developing client relationships, generating repeat business and supporting cross-referrals across the wider firm.

    About You

    The successful candidate will likely have:

    * 3+ years PQE within Private Client / Wills & Probate

    * Strong technical knowledge across private client matters

    * Experience managing a full caseload independently

    * Excellent client care and communication skills

    * A compassionate and empathetic approach

    * Commercial awareness and relationship-building ability

    * Strong organisational and drafting skills

    * STEP qualification (or working towards it) desirable

    This role would suit someone who enjoys building trusted relationships with clients, takes pride in delivering high standards of service and wants to work within a collaborative and forward-thinking legal practice.
