How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Production Quality Engineer

    £37,000 - £39,000 per annum (depending on skills and abilities)

    Permanent opportunity in Wrexham

    Working hours: 8am - 4:30pm Monday to Thurs and 8am - 2:30pm Friday. 

    Additional benefits:

    The Role:

    A global manufacturing leader is seeking a Production Quality Engineer to join its quality team, to investigate manufacturing issues and implement corrective and preventative actions.

    This is a fantastic opportunity to make a tangible impact within a collaborative environment-where your expertise will directly support operational success and customer satisfaction.

    Responsibilities of the Production Quality Engineer:

    Lead root cause analysis of manufacturing defects, customer complaints, and process deviations using structured methodologies such as 8D, DMAIC, or similar
    Drive and manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), ensuring effective implementation and verification
    Analyse production and quality data to identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for continuous improvement
    Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving sessions and support continuous improvement initiatives
    Deliver scrap reduction and re-engineering projects, with ongoing focus on:

    Completing non-conformance documentation and reporting findings to the Quality Manager
    Planning and tracking activities to ensure progress can be effectively monitored and presented
    The Candidate:

    The successful Production Quality Engineer will have the following skills and abilities:

    Proven experience in a quality or engineering role, ideally within a fast-paced manufacturing environment or complex batch-processing setting
    Strong structured problem-solving abilities, with hands-on experience using tools such as 8D, Fishbone (Ishikawa), 5 Whys, Fault Tree Analysis, and statistical analysis
    Ability to interpret manufacturing data and convert insights into practical, actionable improvements
    Demonstrated experience working effectively within a team environment
    Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
