How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Mechanical Engineer (Training in Project Engineering)

    This company are a manufacturer of specialist automated machinery for the commercial / industrial water sector. The company have gone from strength to strength with up to 200% growth over the last few years, and are now looking to invest in individuals to join their growth journey.

    On offer is a highly specialised role with in-depth training for all skill levels, from graduate to senior engineers. You will be responsible for leading manufacturing projects to fulfil bespoke client requirements, assisting with designs and layouts of CAD schematics, liaising with on-site teams and clients to ensure correct requirements are met.

    This role would suit a Mechanical Engineer with knowledge in areas such as pumps, pipework, water, construction or similar areas. Equally the role could be suited for a entry level mechanical graduate wanting to kickstart their career, or an already established Project Engineer / Project Manager.

    The Role:

    Monday - Thursday (8:30am - 17:00pm) & Friday (8:00am - 14:30pm)
    Leading project delivery
    Bespoke projects
    Assisting with design, liaising with onsite teams, testing, validation, and root cause analysis to enhance performance
