How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Mechanical Design Engineer (Great Training)

    £40,000 - £46,000 + Progression + Great Industry Training + Growing Family-Run Business + 25 Days Holiday / 200 hours + Pension

    Commutable from Liverpool, Warrington, Runcorn, Widnes, Ellesmere Port, Chester, Bolton, St Helens, Southport, and surrounding areas

    This company are a manufacturer of specialist automated machinery for the commercial / industrial water sector. The company have gone from strength to strength with up to 200% growth over the last few years, and are now looking to invest in individuals to join their growth journey.

    On offer is a highly specialised role with in-depth training for all skill levels, from graduate to senior engineers. You will be responsible for creating mechanical designs of bespoke products and systems, working closely with project teams to meet specifications and requirements and more.

    This role would suit someone with Mechanical Design Experience within engineering or construction sectors. Candidates from all skills levels encouraged to apply, from graduates to senior engineers or CAD Technicians.

    The Role:

    Monday - Thursday (8:30am - 17:00pm) & Friday (8:00am - 14:30pm)
    Mechanical design of bespoke projects
    Designing mechanical products for the water industry
    The Person:

    Mechanical Design experience
    CAD experience (autocad or plant 3D highly beneficial)
