How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team.

    Learning Support Assistant (LSA) within Hemel Hempstead

    Job Description:

    As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with students who require additional support to help them achieve their full potential. Your primary responsibilities will include:

    Providing one-on-one assistance to students with learning difficulties or disabilities, both in and out of the classroom.
    Supporting the classroom teacher in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting teaching materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
    Assisting with classroom management and ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
    Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to the teacher and parents/guardians as required.
    Collaborating with other members of the school staff, including special education teachers, counsellors, and therapists, to ensure a coordinated approach to student support.Requirements:

    Previous experience working with children or young adults in an educational or childcare setting preferred.
    Knowledge of special educational needs (SEN) and strategies for supporting students with diverse learning needs.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents/guardians.
    Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
    Relevant qualifications or certifications in education, childcare, or special education preferred but not essential.Benefits:
