How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Are you experienced in keeping track of inventory / consumables?

Join us as an Inventory Controller at our Severnside Energy Recovery Centre, and help ensure our plant runs smoothly and efficiently, turning waste into renewable power while minimising downtime.

    * In return, we offer a salary of £28,673 - £31,257 plus up to 3% Bonus , Company Pension (3%), and benefits catalogue.

At SUEZ, your career is a journey full of possibilities. With diverse roles across multiple activities and locations, we empower you to shape your own path. Here, you’re encouraged to learn, grow, and take ownership of your development — because when you thrive, we all succeed.

    What will I be doing?

You'll keep our Energy Recovery Facility operating at peak performance by:

    * Managing and controlling inventory of engineering spares, maintenance consumables, and critical parts to support maximum plant availability and efficiency.

    * Ordering stock, issuing items to teams, and maintaining accurate records using maintenance/inventory management systems.

    * Monitoring stock levels, forecasting needs, and minimising overstock or shortages to optimise availability.

    * Taking ownership of the inventory budget, tracking spend, and contributing to cost-effective procurement decisions.

    * Ensuring all stock processes comply with health & safety, environmental standards, and internal controls.

    What are the requirements?

We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, ages, and career stages — what matters most is your reliability, attention to detail, and enthusiasm for sustainable operations:

    * Experience working in an engineering, industrial, manufacturing, or energy environment (essential).

    * Proven track record using maintenance or inventory management systems (e.g., CMMS, ERP, or similar).

    * Hands-on experience managing inventory, stock control, and/or consumables budgets.

    Who we are

We foster inclusive, caring environments where diversity, wellbeing, safety, and solidarity are more than values, they’re everyday realities. These principles shape how we work together, every day. We’re committed to building a workplace where everyone feels valued and included. If you’re excited about this opportunity but don’t meet every single requirement, we encourage you to apply.

Your unique experience, perspective, and potential could be exactly what we’re looking for. We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your wellbeing and growth, including competitive pay, pension plans, health and wellbeing programs, learning opportunities, and career development. Everything you need to thrive, both professionally and personally. Join us in transforming today’s environmental challenges into tomorrow’s innovative water and waste solutions.

At SUEZ your work truly matters, driving action and shaping a more resilient, sustainable future
