How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Join Our Client as an AIT Technician - Be at the Heart of Space Innovation

Our Client is a leading space technology company dedicated to pushing the boundaries of satellite capabilities and space exploration. Operating within the high-reliability sector of spacecraft engineering, they foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and precision. Known for pioneering ground-breaking solutions, they pride themselves on their inclusivity, growth opportunities, and comprehensive benefits package. This is a fantastic environment for motivated professionals seeking to make a tangible impact in the future of space technology.
    Role Overview
Due to continued growth and strategic expansion into advanced satellite systems, our Client is seeking a skilled AIT (Assembly, Integration, and Test) Technician. This vital role supports the development and testing of cutting-edge space propulsion hardware, contributing directly to missions that will redefine how satellite operations are conducted. As a key member of the team, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of electronic components and assemblies destined for space.
This is an exciting chance to be involved in pioneering projects with significant technological and strategic importance, working within a collaborative environment that values your expertise and professionalism.
    Key Responsibilities

Assemble, rework, and inspect electronic circuit boards according to IPC-A-610 Class 3 standards to ensure optimal quality.
Build and terminate wiring harnesses and cable assemblies aligned with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards.
Crimp, solder, and lace harnesses, installing protective back-shells, connector savers, and measures against electromagnetic interference and high voltage.
Develop and support mechanical and electrical test setups, including fixtures and jigs, from detailed drawings and procedures.
Contribute to AIT activities for space thrusters and control electronics, including functional testing and environmental simulations such as thermal vacuum and vibration testing.
Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings accurately.
Maintain meticulous records of as-built configurations, test logs, and non-conformance reports to support traceability and flight readiness.
Operate, calibrate, and maintain lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and data acquisition systems.
Support the integration and testing of spacecraft components, ensuring they meet performance and environmental standards.
    Essential Skills & Experience

Proven hands-on experience in assembling, reworking, and inspecting electronic hardware, with a strong understanding of IPC-A-610 Class 3 standards.
Certification in IPC/WHMA-A-620 for harness and cable assembly.
Demonstrable ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
Experience building or supporting electrical and mechanical test setups.
Ability to work confidently with standard lab instrumentation including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and DAQ systems.
Knowledge of ESD-safe working practices, following ANSI/ESD S20.20 or similar standards.
Familiarity with high-voltage and high-power electronics hardware.
Strong organisational skills with detailed documentation and traceability practices.
    Desirable Skills & Experience

J-STD-001 soldering certification, with a space-specific addendum being an advantage.
Experience working within a cleanroom or ISO-classified environment.
Background in space, aerospace, defence, or medical sectors involving high-reliability electronics.
Knowledge of ECSS standards, especially ECSS-Q-ST-70 related to workmanship.
Basic proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, NX, or CATIA for model interpretation and drawing annotation.
Exposure to high-voltage or power electronics installations.
    Why This Opportunity?
This role offers a unique chance to be part of a forward-thinking team working on revolutionary satellite propulsion systems and orbital platforms. You will enjoy a sense of ownership over your projects, with the opportunity to contribute to high-profile missions from development through testing. Our Client values innovation and expertise, rewarding your efforts with comprehensive benefits, including private health cover, flexible working arrangements, and support for relocation and visas if required.
Ready to make an impact in space technology? Submit your CV today and become a vital part of our Client's journey to the stars
