How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior Automatic Door Engineer - Midlands

    Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 DOE + Overtime

    Holiday: 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Automatic Door Engineer to join a growing and well-established engineering team covering sites across the Midlands.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer looking for a senior-level role with strong earning potential through overtime and the opportunity to work with a professional and supportive team.

    The Role

    You will be responsible for the service, maintenance, fault finding, repair, and installation support of a wide range of automatic door systems across commercial and industrial sites.

    Key Responsibilities

    Service and maintenance of automatic door systems

    Fault finding and breakdown repairs

    Working on sliding, swing, and revolving door systems

    Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with industry standards

    Providing excellent customer service on-site

    Supporting and mentoring junior engineers where required

    Requirements

    Previous experience working as an Automatic Door Engineer

    ADSA accreditation is essential

    Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

    Full UK driving licence

    Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively

    Excellent communication and customer-facing skills

    Package

    £40,000 – £45,000 basic salary
