HGV Technician – Portsmouth

💷 Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per annum
🕒 Shifts: Various shift patterns available
📍 Location: Portsmouth

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter to join a well-established and reputable HGV dealership in Portsmouth, operating multiple depots across the South East of England.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

* Service, maintain, and repair HGVs and trailers to DVSA standards

* Carry out diagnostics using modern diagnostic equipment and manual fault-finding techniques

* Undertake MOT preparation and vehicle inspections

* Repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

* Complete accurate job cards and maintenance documentation

* Support workshop operations and help minimise vehicle downtime

* Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment

🧠 Requirements

* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair

* Proven experience as an HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter

* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities

* Team-focused, reliable, and safety-conscious approach

* Flexibility to work various shifts

⭐ Desirable

* HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence

* MOT Tester qualification
