How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Role: Industrial Door Engineer
    Salary: 37,570 - £48,620 DOE + Door to Door 
    Location: Southwest 
    Shift: Monday – Friday (42.5hrs)
    Overtime: Offered at 1.5x / 2x 
    On call: 1/4 weeks / £50 standby + £30 per call out + overtime rates 

    My client, a specialist industrial door engineering company, is looking for an experienced Industrial Door Engineer to join their fitter team. You will be involved in installing, maintaining, and repairing various equipment, such as industrial doors, steel doors, high-speed doors, roller shutters, and sectional doors.

    What you’ll be doing in your new Industrial Door Engineer role:
    Installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial doors, steel doors, high-speed doors, roller shutters, and sectional doors
    Occasionally working on loading bays, dock levellers, dock shelters, buffers, wheel guides, traffic light systems, and sectional doors
    Performing basic electrical wiring tasks
    Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment
    Working on a call out rota

    What my client is looking for in a Industrial Door Engineer:
    Experience on any Industrial doors such as roller shutters, insulated roller shutters, sectional doors, high speed doors, steel doors and gates barriers
    CSCS, IPAF, and Pasma desirable but not essential
    A valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
