How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Commercial Operations Manager
Bristol (Hybrid – 3 Days Per Week)
    £75,000 - £85,000 + Benefits

Are you stuck in a business where you can see the operational problems but don’t have the authority to fix them?

Fed up with processes that don’t scale, suppliers that aren’t challenged properly, contracts that create problems downstream and commercial functions that feel reactive instead of strategic?

Maybe you’ve helped grow an MSP before and know exactly what needs improving… but keep hitting red tape, slow decision-making or leadership teams that talk about change without ever actually implementing it.

If that sounds familiar, keep reading.

We’re working with a growing MSP delivering cloud and IT support services into professional services clients across the UK. The business has built strong foundations, a solid client base and an excellent reputation within the market — and they’re now looking for someone to help professionalise and evolve a key area of the business as they continue to scale.

This is a genuinely high-impact role.

They’re looking for someone commercially sharp and operationally strong who can take ownership across procurement, supplier management, contracts, billing governance and wider commercial operations.

This is not a role where you’ll be boxed into one narrow function.

You’ll have the opportunity to influence process, governance, supplier strategy and commercial operations across the business whilst working closely with senior leadership to improve scalability, efficiencies and overall operational maturity.

The right person will probably come from an MSP, managed services or wider technology services environment and will understand the realities of scaling a growing services business.

    The Role:

    * Lead and develop a small commercial operations team

    * Review, negotiate and implement supplier and client contractual terms

    * Improve procurement, billing and supplier management processes

    * Drive operational and commercial governance improvements

    * Identify inefficiencies, process gaps and opportunities to improve scalability

    * Work closely with senior leadership to support business growth

    * Help evolve and mature a key operational function within the business

    What They’re Looking For:

    * Strong commercial and operational experience within an MSP, managed services or technology environment

    * Experience across procurement, contracts, supplier management and commercial operations

    * Strong commercial acumen and confidence dealing with suppliers and contractual negotiations

    * Experience improving processes and helping businesses scale operationally

    * Someone proactive, commercially-minded and comfortable challenging the status quo

    * Previous experience within a growing or scaling MSP would be highly advantageous

    Why Join?
Quite simply, this is the type of role where you can genuinely make a visible impact.

You’ll be joining a business that actually wants someone to come in, challenge processes, improve operations and help build a stronger, more scalable commercial function.

There’s real autonomy here, real influence and the opportunity to help shape how the business grows over the coming years.

For the right person, this could be a genuinely career-defining move.
