How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Field Service Engineer

    Home based/National role

    Up to £42,000 per annum, Door to Door Pay + Overtime + Company Van + Fuel Card + Full UPS Training

    Are you a Field Service Engineer looking for a varied mobile role where no two days are the same, working across hospitals, healthcare environments and specialist medical sites nationwide?

    On offer is an opportunity to join a well-established business providing essential engineering support across the medical sector. This role offers strong support, excellent travel benefits, and the chance to develop highly valuable skills through on-the-job training.

    The day to day of this role involves travelling to hospitals and healthcare sites across the UK, carrying out service, maintenance and repair work on a range of electrical and mechanical systems.

    The ideal candidate will be an experienced Field Service Engineer, happy to cover the whole of the UK and the flexibility to stay overnight.

    The role:

    Servicing, repair and installing theatre equipment within the healthcare and medical industries
    Comapany van, fuel card, Preimier Inn card, food allownance when staying away
    Covering sites from Inverness to Truro, door to door pay
    39hours per week (Some shifts may be shorter or longer due to the nature of the work, you are guaranteed 39hours. When your shift reaches 4hrs you are automatically paid 8hrs) often working hours are evenings (starting between 4pm-7pm) the rota is planned 2 weeks in advance but this can be subjec to change
    Overtime 1.3x weekdays, 1.5x Saturdays, 2x Sundays and 1.5 Nights
    The person:

    Field Service Engineer
    Time served, if you hold electrical qualifiactions this is a bonus
    Flexible with travel, overnight stays and unsociable hours
    Comfortable working in healthcare and sensitive environments
